By accessing or using the Transporzuma website and transportation services, you agree to comply with the Terms and Conditions outlined in this document. If you do not agree with any of these provisions, please refrain from using our website and services.

Transportes Maeli S.A. reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will take effect immediately upon publication on the website. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed of updates.

Use of www.transporzuma.com is conditional upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms and Conditions. You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable laws. Misuse of the website or services may result in suspension or cancellation of access.

As a user, you are responsible for providing accurate and truthful information when using our services. You also agree to maintain the confidentiality of your account details and will be held accountable for all activities conducted through your account.

Transportes Maeli S.A. is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the website or transportation services. This includes, but is not limited to, data loss, service interruptions, or other inconveniences caused by the platform.

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is owned by Transportes Maeli S.A. or its suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. Reproduction, distribution, modification, or use of any content without the company’s express consent is strictly prohibited.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the country in which Transportes Maeli S.A. operates. Any disputes arising from the use of this site or services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of that region.

Shared Transfer Policies

Pickup times may vary depending on the location. For instance, if the service is scheduled to depart at 6:00 a.m., pickups will begin at that time from the nearest point. However, there may be a delay of 10 to 20 minutes due to factors like the route and traffic.

On certain routes, a vehicle change may be required. This process is carried out quickly and safely at pre-established transfer points.

During the trip, there will be stops of 15 to 25 minutes to allow connections with other transportation services. These stops provide an opportunity to rest, stretch your legs, or use available restrooms.

On certain routes, transportation may be provided by partner companies. We ensure that all providers meet our strict quality and safety standards.

If your flight is delayed, we offer a waiting time of up to 15 minutes. Beyond this time, we cannot guarantee that the service will wait for you.

In shared transfers, the transportation of animals, bicycles, weapons, or oversized luggage is not permitted. (Please contact our office or email us to inquire about alternative options for sending such items.)

Private Transfer Policies

Our private transfers are carried out in vans accommodating 1 to 4 people or minibuses with a capacity for 10 to 15 people. If your group is larger, additional vehicles can be arranged.

In the event of a delay, we offer a one (1) hour waiting period for departure. If more time is required, please contact us to confirm arrangements.

During the trip, we can make stops at specific points upon request.

Our minibuses can accommodate up to 10 people. For groups exceeding 4 people, an additional charge of $20 per passenger will apply.

We accept dogs and cats in private transfers, provided they travel in a special carrier or bag designed for pets.

3. Payments and Security

Payments are securely processed through PayPal and Tilopay using credit or debit cards, once your inquiry has been approved.

www.transporzuma.com uses SSL encryption (you can verify the green padlock in your browser’s URL). All information you provide, such as name, address, phone number, email, and payment details, will remain confidential and will only be used to process your booking.

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee a reservation. The booking will only be confirmed once the corresponding payment has been completed.

For services scheduled for the next morning, payment must be completed by 9:00 p.m. (local time) the day before.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Any cancellation must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, no refund will be issued.

The maximum waiting time for pick-up is 10 minutes at hotels and 15 minutes at airports. After this time, it will be considered a “no-show,” and no refund will be issued.

If you fail to show up for your service, no refund will be issued. In case of emergencies, a refund may be considered.

If you board a vehicle from another company by mistake or personal decision, no refund will be issued.

Children over 3 years old must pay the adult fare. Children between 6 months and 2 years can travel on an adult’s lap at no additional cost, but if a seat is required, they will be charged as adults.

Claims must be submitted within 2 days of the service. If the case is considered serious, a refund may be applied.

Credit card refunds may take 3 to 30 business days depending on the issuing bank. PayPal refunds are processed immediately.

5. Responsibility

Customers must declare the number and dimensions of their luggage, including any special items such as surfboards. One (1) large suitcase and one personal item are allowed. Any additional luggage will incur a $10 charge per item.

Surfboards must be finless and placed in a protective bag. They will be stored on the roof of the minibus.
Prices:
  • Shortboards (5 to 6 feet): $10
  • Funboards (6 to 7 feet): $15
  • Longboards (8 to 9 feet): $20

Transporzuma is not responsible for the loss or damage of unattended items, including poorly stored hand luggage.

Transporting additional luggage or large items must be communicated in advance during the reservation. These are not included in the standard service price.

We are not responsible for items left behind in our vehicles.

We are not responsible for schedule changes or delays caused by traffic, ferries, flights (domestic or international), accidents, weather conditions, or any other external factors that may affect the normal course of the route. In such cases, no refunds will be provided.

6. Operating Permits

Transporzuma complies with all tourism regulations, vehicle circulation rights, and insurance policies required by Costa Rican authorities.

7. Copyright

All content on Transporzuma (texts, images, logos, videos, graphics) is the property of Transportes Maeli S.A. and is protected by national and international copyright laws.

8. Terms Modifications

Transporzuma reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice.
